Fictional country

The biggest problem with this country is that, we don’t trust any single thing now.

We don’t trust the Government is fair to its people, though it’s trying and hope to be perceived as one.

We don’t trust the police force will protect us from being harmed.

We don’t trust the judiciary is impartial and independent to deliver the right judgment.

We don’t trust the MACC to be fair in weeding our corruption.

Now, we don’t even trust our local forensic experts to the extent that we’ve to fly in foreign forensic expert to perform second post-mortem on the deceased Teoh Beng Hock.

Look at Dr. Pornthip Rojanasunand Fans Club on Facebook, it’s founded by a bunch of Malaysians and being flooded with comments and news links, overwhelmed by 2,000++ members as of the posting time of this entry.

Should we, the people, get the blame for the low confidence, or rather, no confidence towards the system and take things into our own hands to do something about it?

Shouldn’t the Government ponders, why we choose to believe Raja Petra Kamarudin instead of any official statement from the Government or the mainstream media, even though many might say there are so much of absurd conspiracy theories posted on his website?

Acknowledge that something is wrong with the system is commendable as it takes great effort and courage to admit the shortfall.

However, the act of performing any rectification exercise and in another word, by walking the talk, is another story all together, in which, in reality, this is the real Key Performance Index (KPI) and how we, the people decide to judge if the Government is heading for good, or to the cows.

Enough said, no two ways about it.

  • I also don’t understand why we, voters still voted them to be their government since they already learned from so many cases reported in whatever media?

Government is a group of people voted by voters to take nation’s resources on behalf of them. Voters have absolute right to change their government when they are badly perform.

This is democracy system, if not, it will be Feudalism or Communism. Unfortunately, not in Malaysia.

  • Correction:

    This sentence should be :

~ Government is a group of people voted by voters to take CARE nation’s resources on behalf of them.

    NOT:

~ Government is a group of people voted by voters to take nation’s resources on behalf of them.

    Thanks.
