Stupid fishes, big fishes

People always brush aside politics as a dirty games.

As much as politicians choose to deny it’s not, the fact is, it’s extremely dirty.

Today, he might be your friend and tomorrow, it will turn out otherwise and likewise for another way round.

It’s proven to be the case in MCA.

For whatever reason, by taking “greater unity plan” as the convenient shield , MCA president Ong Tee Keat and his old nemesis Chua Soi Lek are back as a force, at the expense of the recently appointed deputy president Liow Tiong Lai, who is set to be demoted as the Registrar of Society (ROS) reinstated CSL as the legitimate deputy president.

You must be wondering, after so much of hoo-haa, campaigns, roadshows, many dinners to lobby for votes, and now, it’s back to square.

I know I’ve been rhetorically saying this many times, but I’d really want to reiterate that’s MCA for you, the party which claims to represent the Chinese community in Malaysia, but is too preoccupied with infighting, greed for power and money and what’s not.

Anyway, that’s not what I really want to talk about in this entry, besides the fact that why there is no reason for vote for MCA in the next general election.

Tomorrow, as most of us already know by now, it’s going to be the D-Day for many big shots, both ministers and senior government officials when the Public Accounts Committee’s report on PKFZ is expected to be tabled in Parliament.

The PAC began investigations into the fiasco when questions were tabled over the viability of the PKFZ project.

According to one of the PAC member Tony Pua, as many as 10 people will be implicated in the report, prefer to keep the embargo until the report is tabled in Parliament tomorrow.

However, what’s really crucial is, how serious is the enforcement agencies, such as Attorney General’s Chambers and the infamous MACC are to take legal action against those are implicated, if the findings reported are substantiated with evidence of wrongdoings?

We’ve seen too many of wrongdoings exposed without any serious action taken, as we can see in the VK Lingam’s incident lately as one of the best example, which has seriously damaged the reputation of our ailing judiciary system, but eventually, the case was dropped because no evidence of judicial interference as claimed, notwithstanding the Royal Commission findings?

How about the excessive expenditure claim as reported in the Auditor General reports revealed since many years ago? You know, RM80,000 for 2 units of laptops, that sort of excessive wastage of public fund?

Don’t forget the mansions by those politicians too, the small and big palaces, remember?

How about the Batu MP Tian Chua being sentenced to jail because judge was “convinced” cop who admitted punching the MP told the truth about his biting?

How about Gobind’s challenge against suspension denied because court has no jurisdiction although the opposite was said in the Perak fiasco?

How about the loss of over RM 1 billion in Rawang Ipoh double tracking project?

We can continue to expose more “cans of worms”, however, if there is serious lack of will to carry through with thorough probe accompanied by independent and transparent legal action by charging the culprits, together with severe punitive measures put in place to deter the occurrence, we’ll continue to be duped into believing that this Government under the PM with his oversell 1Malaysia is going to work.
