Excellent IGP? My foot!

I might be aggravating hamstring injury now, but as far my head is concern, I’m still very conscious.

Here’s the joke of the day.

Deputy Home Minister Abu Seman Yusop told Parliament today that Inspector General of Police Musa Hassan’s contract was extended for another year because of his “excellent performance”.

The key word, excellent performance!

Despite even government statistics showing the crime rate was high and a major public concern, the deputy home minister said the IGP had met all the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Chief Secretary to the Government.

If that’s the case, the Chief Secretary must be smart enough to set a higher bar for the IGP to achieve, and not when the people continue to live in fear – fear of being robbed, fear of being rapped, fear of being killed, etc, the Government insists to believe that the IGP has achieved an excellence performance!

At times like this, we don’t need stupid jokes like this, it’s as good as insulting our intelligence.

As I said earlier, I might be aggravating hamstring injury now, however my mind is perfectly clear to differentiate this is an outright liar!
