Malaysia without politicians, according to Mahathir

In the latest entry on his blog, former PM Tun Mahathir speaks some sense, not only in me, but I’m sure many others would agree too.

It makes we wonder whether the country would not be better off if we don’t have politicians. Of course I am one. But it does seem that it is the politicians who keep on stoking the fires of racism. Left to themselves the people would accept the way of life that has kept Malaysia almost conflict free all these years.

The good thing is, it’s never too late to do something about it.

The bad thing is, Tun M has long retired.

How I wish when he is still sitting at the top echelon, he is willing to utter that by coming up with such a confession, that politicians are the one who keep on stocking the fires of racism.

Then again, as mentioned earlier, it’s never too late.

Many of us, or rather, all of us, every single Malaysian out there, regardless of races and ethnicity, are more than excited to embrace a new ideology which abstain politicians from raising racial hatred, immediately compelled them to be effectively put under the scrutiny of law enforcement, rather than seeing them running loose.

We hope Tun M is ready to impart his idea and wisdom on how can make Malaysia a better place to stay for all of us without the unscrupulous incitement by politicians out there.

With this, it’d be great and really appreciate if Tun M can and will live on with this spirit of Anak Bangsa Malaysia in his influential blog without any politician way of talking which will incite racial disharmony.

I always believe that you can’t undo sins you’ve committed, so it’s pointless to harp on the past, but you can certainly live behind a legacy for all anak-anak Bangsa Malaysia to remember the way of life you’ve inspired all of us to live in.

I’m, as usual, one anak bangsa Malaysia.

I hope you too, Tun.
