2009 Merdeka gift

Instead of RM2.00, it’s RM2.05.

1Malaysia, Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan, Harga Dinaikkan.

Thanks to BN, this is the best Merdeka gift, ever!

I’m serious.

Between 1Malaysia & 1MCA

National day’s quote of the day.

It’s funny how the MCA president Ong Tee Keat talks about 1Malaysia when establishing an 1MCA looks like an arduous (or rather impossible) task by itself.

Nevertheless, have a peaceful Merdeka people.

Selamat Hari Merdeka, Yasmin …

I used to grow up watching Yasmin Ahmad’s TV advertisements for Petronas.

The message she was trying to bring out to us is so simple, so direct, yet it’s so significant and created so much of impact, and yet, very unfortunately, being taken for granted by many of us, after more than 50 years of independence.

Reminder: RM2.00 from September 1

Generally, majority of the Malaysians have the mudah lupa syndrome.

Well, let me remind you that, if you’re now being overwhelmed, or rather overindulged with the cow head incident, starting from this coming Tuesday (i.e. September 1), the RON97 petrol will be sold at higher price.

From the current RM1.80 per litter, it’s going to cost [...]

The cow head: More lies …

The cow head incident is getting more intriguing.

August 28:

Addressing the crowd, Section 23 action committee deputy chair Ibrahim Sabri said: “If there is blood, you (the state government) will be responsible if you are adamant about building the temple.”

“This is a warning. Relocate the temple to Section 22. This cow is a present to the [...]

1Malaysia’s cow head?

Talking about 1Malaysia, there is this headline on Malaysiakini which really caught my attention.

It’s about some 50 residents from Section 23 in Shah Alam enraged with the proposed relocation of a Hindu temple to their area staged a noisy protest with a severed cow’s head placed outside the gates of the state secretariat building.

The internal affairs

A day after MCA deputy president Chua Soi Lek was sacked, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak said he will not interfere in the internal matters of MCA unless he is invited to act as an intermediary.

Two days after, the Malaysiakini reported as saying that Najib urged MCA to solve its internal problems swiftly before it [...]

Wind of change

That’s what DPM Muhyiddin Yassin claimed was going to happen at the Permatang Pasir constituency on polling day favouring the federal ruling coalition.

A bold statement from the BN deputy chairperson based on the “fake” grassroots feedback accumulated during his walk-around the Permatang Pasir.

In a way, his statement is partially correct.

The wind of change did take [...]

Happy Ramadan

A time of reflection,

A time of prayer,

A time of devotion,

A time of remembrance,

Wishing peace and prosperity to all my Muslim friends and readers with Ramadan wishes.

Hidup Samy Vellu

If there is any award for the most thick skin politician, MIC president S Samy Vellu can be the one and the only contestant for this category.

Tun Mahathir has long gone.

Ling Leong Sik has long gone.

Ong Ka Ting has long gone.

Lim Keng Yaik has long gone.

Even Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has gone too.

But Samy declared he [...]
