The Star’s SMS alert at 6:14pm.
International Court of Justice decides 12 to 4 that Pulau Batu Puteh belongs to Singapore, and 15 to 1 that Middle Rocks belongs to Malaysia
The conclusion: Singapore gets the island and what do we get?
Well, the rock.
As expected, International Trade and Industry Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also a subject of Johor, reminds Singapore not to be arrogant over the latest decision, Foreign Minister Rais Yatim describe the decision as a "win-win" outcome for both countries while Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak comes to a syok sendiri conclusion.
In the end of the day, what do we get?
Well, the rock, still.
Singapore? It’s now officially Pedra Branca instead of Pulau Batu Puteh, which is now officially part of our nation’s history.
More importantly, it doesn’t matter how one interprets the outcome, as I believe many of us would perceive it as a bad sign of surrendering our sovereignty.
But, let’s make no mistake about this, if we’re not being careful, many years down the road, we’ll risk losing bigger stake to our neighbor, in the name of Iskandar Malaysia.

how does the rock look like ah?
Such carelessness!
Should we blame anybody but ourselves?
Did we have good and smart people to bring forth our case?
Anyway, as the good (and wiseful) Minister says,(..please be calm and accept ICJ’s decision.) let us enjoy Bill Haley’s oldie "Rock Around The Clock" at Birds Talking blogsite.
Cheers and Regards

Rocks, SK. Not rock. Think positive. At least that’s what Rais Yatim and AAB want us to think.
It’s not that we are not sporting losers but who was the stupid Johorean bureaucrat who gave the island away to Singapore on a silver plate?
Is UMNO giving even more away under our nose?
