Yes, you read this right!

Sunday, March 30th, 2008 | 7:47 pm @ SK

Before he lost the battle in GE 2008, he has been very critical of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).

He said the accusations of the Hindraf against the government were made blindly without considering the progress achieved by the Indians in the country.

He said the government and the MIC had provided various kinds of aid and support in upgrading the livelihood of the Indians.

He said Indians are definitely not being marginalized in this country.

He was asked to step down, but he rejected the idea.

He was simply proud of himself and said only the Indian community and not anyone else to decide when is the end date for him.

That was before he lost both his parliamentary seat and minister post he had held for almost 30 years!

Hence, his dream materialized when he was voted out on that faithful day.

Now, the same man called for the release of the five Hindraf leaders held without trial under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

He said he is going to meet the PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the Internal Security Minister Syed Hamid Albar to discuss the release.

He said the Government has to make a decision regarding the release because one of the detainees is very sick while another one is an elected assemblyman.

He said he is pitiful towards the family as the detainees’ families members approach him for help.

He said he is not willing to see the detainees being kept inside.

He is no other than the most obvious chameleon in this country - S Samy Vellu.

No wonder even the mainstream media who is proven to be extremely supportive of the ruling coalition is quite skeptical too, to the extent of reassuring their readers that they’re right to read what they read.

Just wondering whether this one audacious man has a shred of pride and dignity left in him, never mind the facts that he and his coalition partners had just suffered the most severe political whitewash recently.

this near moron now is talking about sympathy. the hindraf 5 do not need your sympathy. if you are genuine, just confirm that the ISA was wrongly applied on these 5 courageous men and therefore the government should immediately release them. or it is your usual bullshit style trying to claim credit  just when their detention is coming to an end given the untenable position of continuous detention of 5 innocent brave men.

it doesn’t work, Mr Samy. Don’t you show off that you’re too concern on the HINDRAF leaders. They have their dignity and they know how to handle this issue. Rather you should beg to indian community who deserted you to retain you as a MIC leader where indian never never say yes to this to you. You just dream it..samy!!!!

Hi……Could it be this was for purposes of the Tamil Nadu and the Indian Goverment`s benefit  as uncle Samy is rumoured to have plenty stashed there.

Remain President MIC till dies in office? Am wondering why is the rest of the party silent. His personal property too perhaps the party.

    wait a minute!

did Samy Vellu mention that he is going to take place of all HINDRAFT 5 in ISA in return, Samy Vellu will be place in ISA….???

if so, Samy Vellu deserves a Tun-ship from our AGONG for being Lou-Bin-Loot.

Samy will never ever Walk The Talk, but can do Cock The Walk. but again, no one dare to see him doing such act. would you?

Don’t cry over spilled milk! It is no point to come out and try to help the 5 hindraf leaders now.Your downfall in your party is the making of yourself as your arrogance and dictatorship belies your leadership.

  8. ledzep says:

this chameleon is hoping to get back indian support on him IF he manage to convince government to release those 5 detainees………simple logic!!

  9. Digest on Malaysian News says:

links from Technorati? Who is Samy Vellu to the PM now ? To the public, it look like Samy Vellu is harping on Hindraf issue to regain support from the Indian community. He should have fight for Hindraf when the issue cropped up late last year. Now, his action is merely apublicity stunt. The Indian community have lost trust and confidence on Samy Vellu as their leader. He is not even worth any semi-value to them now.
