Hidup Rakyat!

I’m totally out of words!
Before that, let me congratulate my fellow friends, colleagues and all Malaysians on how you exercised your democracy rights.
For you and everyone else to play such an immense role as a anak bangsa Malaysia, with the country now back as a fully democratised nation, I’d like to say thank you.
As you can see, you vote counts!
To those who don’t believe that our votes are precious enough to ignite reform, March 8 is one of the best example that you and I, if we work together, we can achieve and destroy the most unthinkable.
It’s awesome and it’s unprecedented.
It had convinced the present administration that we’re are the boss and people’s power is too critical to be ignored.
It further proven to the Government that never ever take the rakyat for granted or else, we’ll revolt as what’s happening now.
Anyway, I never foresee such a dramatical transformation, but I think everyone else is the same state of shock as mine too.
Nevertheless, on the morning of the election day, I was on my way back from overseas, landed in KLIA around noon and took a transit flight back to Penang.
Albeit the heavy downpour and slight traffic jam on my way to the polling center, I casted my precious 30 minutes before the closing time, which means to those that I asked to mark my words, I just want to tell you that, I made it!
The outcome? The rakyat denied the ruling coalition’s 2/3 majority with 4 connected states from the up-north Kedah until the down-south Selangor taken over by the Opposition alliance.
For now, the next 100 days are critical and the entire country is watching, which means it’s time for more hard work and to prove that they’re worthy of the mandate given by the rakyat. Much needs to be done.
For now, let’s hail the new dawn for Malaysia, when the people are too angry and condemned Barisan Nasional with its worst ever result since 1969.
For now, HIDUP RAKYAT!

Glad to know that you are able to cast your vote.
If Barisan Rakyat or DAP-PKR-PAS can have a mission statement as below. They can take over the governance rules from Barisan National.
Unless existing BN component parties does not agree the statement below can bring a better Malaysia for the Rakyat Cermelang Malaysia
- same and equal education for rakyat malaysia (no quota for university enrollment)
- same and equal business and entreprise (no NEP)
- same and equal status for rakyat malaysia (no bumi or non-bumi)
- same and equal development (systematic development according to future needs)

"The outcome? The rakyat denied the ruling coalition’s 2/3 majority with 4 connected states from the up-north Kedah until the down-south Selangor taken over by the Opposition alliance."
It suddenly occurred to me… the Barisan Rakyat has carved out for itself a Development Corridor, the very kind that Pak Lah had been keen on setting up everywhere.
What poetic justice.

I was about to ask you if you made it back home to participate in the making of history for Penang for PENANG. I guess you did! :)
Congratulations! It makes you feel proud that you played a part, a significant one too, doesn’t it?

The mandate has been given to the Opposition to take over the 5 states government. It is the now that the show really starts. It is the one time the Opposition must do what they preached.
As for me, this is the one chance given to Opposition to make a difference, no more no less. If my dear Malaysia by 2013 is worst off than of 2008, then I guess they have lost their golden ticket for good.

Agree with JL. One day winning doesn’t mean triumph. Many challanges ahead, many more to achieve. Chance given, time to prove. All the best and hope that Malaysia, in the years to come, makmur dan damai. :)
