Oh Samy Vellu!

That bloody old man is back to his usual antics.
The next day Works Minister S Samy Vellu asking Malaysians to expect a 10% increase in toll rates from Jan 1 next year, he reversed his statement.
"We will not increase the toll rates by Jan 1 next year until we get Cabinet approval," he said.
Then, the DPM Najib Tun Razak put the blame on the people by questioning the toll speculation.
"Why do you speculate? No (there is no increase) … wait until the Cabinet decides," he told reporters when questioned on the toll increase.
Pi mai pi mai tang tu.

Why complain so much? Fatty Bold Samy already told to expect a 10% rise in toll fare. He’s informing all publics 3 months in advance, and what more do you expect? Price decrease? Stay the same? Contract stated they are entitle to increase toll fare once every 3 years, and since overdue now, just a norm practice for them to increase toll fare by 10% only.
Samy thinks public is as stupid as him. Or probably his tummy is too big causing his brain dead. And I believe there’s nothing public could do other than paying for the increased toll fare.
If everyone cooperate and act together, there may be slight chances of us get this over-turn. :)
No worry, be happy. Life moves on!

well, the public cannot run away from the next toll increase. its a matter of timing on the increase and that will be after the election. even then, the public is paying indirectly which is via compensation by the government to the toll collectors ( euphemism for government sanctioned "along") afterall the government funds come from taxes paid by you and me.
more importantly, may we asked Samy about his promise to reveal the contents of the concession agreement. I guess it suffers the same fate as the promise to MAIKA shareholders on the investment refund. Guess his promises are as good as statements made on April 1.
