Either its a knee jerk reaction to show how zealously patriotic some politicians are to punish a seemingly harmless act by a student (Doh!) or its an attempt to divert the people's energy towards frivolous matters instead of really concentrating on more important and relevant issues within the country. Not only is he deemed to be wrong, some "batu api" are trying to magnify this alleged misdemeanour into a national tragedy such that even extradition is being discussed.
