The freedom to write and express opinion has its limit as provided for in the country’s law."This development is unhealthy. Although the government is very tolerant with regard to the anti-government stand and criticisms expressed in the websites, we are deeply concerned about the insulting statements against a particular religion as well as the racial sentiments which could cause racial unrest.
It’s shameful when religion matter like Islam as well as the King are being used as the shield to cover up a brainless accusation, hoping that the public will buy into the allegation and cashing in by playing into the general emotional settings?
It’s even more absurd when a police report was lodged against an alleged article which doesn’t exist in first place? Tell me, how idiotic can this be?
As the general election is very much around the corner, I say Umno should stop all the intimidation, starting from the arrest of Nathaniel Tan and the latest police report against Raja Petra Kamarudin.
Let’s do the right thing before the whole drama turns into a piece of tragedy as well as international laughing stocks (probably the current administration can’t be bothered?) and more importantly, salvage the reputation while you can, especially when this phenomena is being seen as a war between Umno and the rest of blogging community?
Be wise before it may foreshadow a possible backlash against the unintended consequences.

signs of desperation? the public were conned big time in the last election. this snake oil sellers know that further expose by the blogs may undermine their aim to have an equally big majority this time to legitimise their plundering of the country’s resources.
key question is who’s next on the investigation list? obvious is Jeff and Rocky who are immensely popular with their hard hitting and no nonsense articles.
Can anyone tell me why malaysia doesn’t has speech freedom? Are we communist? Why is it always talking about Islam will become sensitive issues? I myself, think Islam is good. But people who do not join them, could we not be involved in it? eg. [DELETED by SK] Could we at least get tips too from malay lecturers? We are all malaysians right? If malays set up company, could 30% be chinese or indians too? Could the poorer community of chinese or indians get cheaper fare on buying houses or higher rate of interest and lower loan rate? Could we have fair treatment, please? Could we enter the university according to our result and not so much to our races? Could we get some government jobs as well? eg. EPF building. Could we get equal treatment in applying sholarship eg. for JPA. Could we get fair treatment, please? I am asking the government sincerely. We have lived here in malaysia together for so many years. All the races are well-mixed. Malays, chinese and indians’ relationship are good. However, there is still this line of unfairness that separate us. Why is my friend be treated better and has a brighter future than me if we work equally hard? Past law and regulations could be changed into something better. Economic differences have been pulled to similar situation now. A lot of indians and chinese are poor. Could we be helped? [DELETED by SK] could Muslim saves us?
My advise to all of you who have some valid points, please be brave. Stand up for your own rights, and you will see that many others will do the same.
Come out of your shell, and let your voices be heard.
