But really …

When the son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin was putting effort in salvaging his favorite Manchester United trip to Malaysia, Umno Rembau division exco member Azman Mat Shah urged the SIL to step down as its division chief – for failing to stand up for his division’s choice of delegates to the party’s coming AGM.

"He may be the prime minister’s son-in-law and the deputy chief of the movement, but that doesn’t mean he can do this. Umno Youth is not for the son or son-in-law of anyone to treat the movement as he sees fit," he added. [...]

"If this causes my political death, so be it. But it has to be said that we are disappointed in the way he has cast us aside.

"There are many more issues we have with Khairy but we will raise these later when the time is right," he added.

So, just because your father-in-law is the PM, you can set your own rules? Just because you’re the Umno deputy youth chief, you can treat the movement as you see fit? Just because your FIL is the PM, you can call the no-go as an insult to the Government? Just because you’re the SIL of the PM, you expect a non-Malaysian to even listen to your request? Just because Malaysia housed the Asian Football Federation (AFC), AFC must compromise and give in?

But really, who the f88k you think you’re that the world must take order from you?

Meanwhile, Malaysiakini reported that Manchester United visit to Malaysia was discussed twice during two consecutive cabinet meeting, but not the postponement of the Building Bridges International Islam-Christianity Inter-Faith Conference.

  • Well, some say he is more influential than FIL.. hahha

  • I understand the son in law was quoted in TV3 as warning the AFC that turning down Malaysia’s request to let Manchester United play a friendly in KL is akin to insulting Malaysia. Son-in-law may believe that he rules Malaysia but pulling a sorry threat like that to a foreign organisation which answers to FIFA reveals that the  young fellow has a lot to learn about leadership. Perhaps he should focus on the rumblings in Rembau rather than stick his neck out to win some cheap publicity in the compliant mainstream media. Perhaps then, he can work on his "leadership" qualities.

When the SIL was quoted as saying the turndown of request is an insult to the Government, he was speaking within the Malaysia’s boundary.

But really, AFC just can’t be bothered, together with the fact that our local soccer standard is for you to judge. Probably KJ need to be informed that AFC reports to FIFA, not the Government of Malaysia.

    KJ? Who is KJ?

AFC should just dump Msia as co-host for not complying to a simple agreement made when they bid for it and kick Msia out of the tournament, they never gonna qualify for it and probably will let in 6 goals per game.

KJ makes an impression only on those who are “katak di bawah tempurung” and cannot see the bigger picture. In the big picture, who is KJ?

It’s Malaysia’s loss and not AFC’s loss if we cannot honour what we have agreed with the AFC. MU is not even in this equation!

  • [...] He said no Manchester United means no respect to the Government. [...]
