Yesterday’s joke and will continue to be today’s joke too.
By the way, don’t blame it on Works Minister S Samy Vellu, not his fault, really.
Hehehe, as a Works Minister, he has warned early of March that if you don’t want to pay, you can always opt for the 90 minutes journey. Unlike him, blame it on your blood cheap life for not having the luxury of a escort team without paying a single cent.
That’s why when the former premier Tun Mahathir can’t sack him for an apparent reason, you’ve to put the blame either on MIC members or Sungai Siput voters if you can’t afford to blame your blood cheap life.

It’s a fact that we have to pay if we want good roads that are not bottlenecks. But Kuala Lumpur is a laughing stock to all the foreign visitors. You pay toll literally almost all over the city and the “feel good” experience is only good insofar that you are on the tolled road, which leads you to a bottleneck once you leave the road! Nowadays even tolled roads are not a guarantee to smooth traffic flow!
I have a suggestion for our Works Minister (I would rather call him JKR Minister). Erect tolls on every road so that it is no longer feasible for almost all the drivers to use cars. Then they will use public transport and he can then boast of traffic-free roads. He can even help the companies running public transport to make tons of money!
RM4 for 4 km! Trying to screw every driver again. It’s getting to be an irritating habit of his. We should demand the complete breakdown of the costs.
Ouch! RM4 for a short journey, well, it’s a price to pay I suppose if we wanna avoid the jam…
total con job..anyway where is this SMART road?
Gallivanter,
It’s absolutely true that there is a price to pay for something, opportunity cost. Period.
However, what I’m disputing here is the AMOUNT that we need to pay, it’s not about whether we should pay it or not.
RM4 for 4KM of highway? Anyway, it’s not been finalized yet, let’s see what he is going to announce by the end of this month.
calm down everyone…. from what i heard, it’s only 2 bucks… but then again… 2 bucks isnt exactly cheap…
Not sure where you heard that, but the RM4 for 4KM was taken from BERNAMA.
Samy Vellu – the Katak dibawah Rambut Palsu, is one Minister who needs to be defeated at the next elections. The Malaysian Indians have to wake up & elect a dynamic individual to lead the MIC. But will the MIC ever be rid of such parasites who are an insult to the Community? Samy Vellu – u are of no value to the Indians but only to yourself – Please Go to Hell!!!
First,
Don’t use if you don’t like it.
2nd,
Change your lifestyle if you become poorer after using it.
3rd,
You can get out of this country if you don’t like it.
4th,
vote those flers out. "We can’t do anything la…one vote cannot make difference la…" then don’t complain, period.
think about this, if they charge from RM 0 to RM 1, then the SMART tunnel would be as congested as any other roads!
It’s indeed a fire-fighting solution, if SMART is meant to reduce the traffic flow.
You can have 10 SMART tunnels, but if the eventual destinations that you’re heading to are having the similar trunk roads that you experience the daily jam together with the massive growth of cars, the jam will still take place, sooner or later.
In fact, I agree with the Government’s proposal to impose certain fee on traffic into the city, at least that will deter people from driving, reducing the jam and the pollution too. However, having said that, the Government must think of the alternative too. Public transportation connecting city to places around Klang Valley must be in place, in the end of the day, it’s their choices to pay the toll or to use the public transport.
So the question now is, where is the public transport?
the public transport is everywhere but mostly camping at the bus stand having a lil chat and fagging a cigratte or 2
I used the SMART tunnel two days ago at 5.30pm at Jalan Tun Razak in from of Rashid Hussein Bank. There was a jam going into the single-lane entrance. Once in the traffic was slow but moving steadily. It eventually widened into two lanes when it was linked to trafficc from another entrance. I think you can save about 25 minutes or so but once you exit the tunnel, you run smack into another jam!
i from sungai siput (u), cant blame us. he got ard 15k votes, the other party got around 8k. his 15k votes from army, org asli, police and unknown ppl. those stupid voters not more than 2k i suppose.
the whole town dint give him even a vote. but the indian voters give him the most.
1 funny thing is, his opponent is an indian too.
