In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2007, Malaysia Tourism Board invited over 190 journalists from all over the world to witness the opening of Floral Festival 2007.
One of them, Nila Tanzil, a colleague of blogger Ong Hock Chuan, a Malaysian currently based in Jakarta, represented Indonesia’s Surya Citra Television Corporation (SCTV) with a producer and a cameraman.
From sheer bureaucracy to incommunicado till incompetent tour guides, welcome to Malaysia Truly Asia. I feel sorry to know you’re being deprived of a chance to visit the real Malaysia besides the combination of Kuala Lumpur city, Genting Highlands and the administration capital Putrajaya only.
Nila, just want to reassure you that, Malaysia definitely has more to offer you besides the 3 places that you visited.
The rest of the story? Click here for her experience throughout. Nevertheless, despite the frustrating experience, my hats off to you and your team for the hard work in promoting Malaysia tourism, in which the "Melancong Yuk" Malaysia episodes will be aired on 3 February (Saturday) and 4 February (Sunday) at 6:30am in SCTV.
As for Hock Chuan, I guess the time has came for you to do a comeback to Malaysia for a brief PR stunt with Malaysia Tourism Board? I guess they are in dire need of your service at this point of time, really.
