Sickening egoism

In the parliament, when being asked on what the Malaysian astronaut might do in the International Space Station (ISS), Agriculture Ministry parliamentary secretary Rohani Abdul Karim who was replying on behalf of the Science, Technology and Innovations Ministry, said the astronaut would play traditional Malay children’s games without gravity, besides the planned batik painting and making teh tarik.
So, is this the kind of strategic experiments that would be carried out with hundred of millions burnt just like that, just to fulfill the ego and the "Malaysia Can" hype?
Real sickening.

What experiement? We got it all wrong. These ppl are not astronauts. They are space TOURISTS, going on a trip paid with our hard-earned money. Tourists can only do what tourists do. Eat, drink, take photo, come back. What can they do up there that could improve life for the ordinary Malaysian down here. Hey I too could use a paid vacation.

I just want to run & hide. Me? Malaysian? No, not me.
Why do we put idiots in positions of power.

[...] Well, according to Screenshots and MageP’s Lab, the astronauts will… …spin top (gasing) and toss “batu seremban’ (five-stone game) as part of an experiment during his space travel. [...]

Wonder how they propose to make tea tarik in zero gravity? Maybe that’s the scientific experiment they are conducting.

That has made us an international laughing stock. What kind of leaders do we have in Malaysia? Juvenile, by any nature! The saddest part is that these leaders seem so proud of their juvenile ideas.

we voted umno and barisan in power, so this is what we get……….why vote for a party who’s policies are race based and feel that its their prerogitive to have special rights. For God’s sake, why is the new generation are born and bred in Malaysia and still subjected to marginalisation? Through the ongoing UMNO General Meeting, it looks like as long as Barisan is in power, the NEP will never be abolished. It would be nice if skthew commented on the umno general meeting…….its where racism bares its ugly head……..tune in guys….astro channel 94……

You know what, this could probably earn us a few very prestigeous entries that we can be proud of over the next few generations:
1. Guiness Book of Records : The most expensive teh tarik.
2. Ripley’s Believe It or Not : You can spin tops in 0 gravity. Believe or not?

But it does not matter to those in UMNO that the country becomes the laughing stock of the world. What matters here is that the Malays are duped into believing that UMNO is actually achieving some significant feat for the Malays to prove to the world “Malaysia Boleh”.
So the Malays will continue to keep the party in power. And the gravy train continues its journey uninterrupted. And there is gravy to share for all UMNO members.
Semuanya OK!

This is the mentality of our half-past six astronaut. It is just a waste of public money and with this type of calibre,I doubt whether he could come back to earth after holidaying into space.

Did you read Malaysiakini? It is really for the sake of science and law of physics. Which I believe in :)
