USS Ronald Reagan

Via Rocky Bru:

So, why did the Malaysian Government allow the USS Ronald Reagan, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, to dock at Port Klang early this month?

USS Ronald Reagan, was alleged as on its "goodwill visit" to Malaysia.

But little among us who might realise that, "the ship was on its way to the Gulf to participate in outright aggression of war crimes either against Iraq or Iran or both," said Prof. Francis A. Boyle.

Do I hear it wrongly?

First of all, Iran and Iraq, last I checked, ARE NOT PART of Malaysia. This is a good will visit to Malaysia.

Besides, if it were urgently needed at the battle field, it is very much capable of steaming there stright. This is not leasure craft that has to call at every other port for supplies, this is a floating city. Even if it did need to pick up supplies, it would have already done that in Singapore.

So trying to imply that Malaysia is supporting it in commiting warcrimes is bullshit on top of horse manure.

Furthermore, with the bi-lateral negotiation, it would not have been very wise to refuse it to the US. Is it bad is it wrong? I don’t know - but I think that if they start considering it they need to act as such

Hi, I think u got it slightly wrong somehow- I was here when USS RR dropped anchor … (i work at Westports)…and Ronald Reagan does quite a lot for local economy about 5k sailors with lots of cash walking around in USD, and Ronald Reagan is involved in preventive anti-terrorism campaigns and war exercises in this region. Its now in the Philippines I think, doing some joint exercises with them. For more info do visit http://www.navy.mil they’ve a website there.

    [SK] Thanks for the website.

OK, i get ya all now. So we are just some thick face assholes that likes to  critisice US or the west for their military operations, then invite their war weapons to our home to help our economy in the name of goodwill visit? does it makes u feels better?

  6. Emmanuel says:

No, I am not critisizing the US actions. To me, our country did not(thankfully) get two airplanes flying into any building in ours.6000 of our citizens did not die a sad death for nothing.None of our naval vessels got bombed like USS Cole did.Our embassies never got sieged by terrorists, so to me, we are not fully qualified to pass judgement on a country who has suffered such attrocities.we can sing whatever song we want about the war on terror, Vietnam,Korea, Iraq the fact remains we can only judge from the outside. We are not fit to pass 1st hand judgement to them. The Same applies to the Palestinians, Iraqis and any other country who does the things they do.
