[UPDATED VERSION] Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi confirmed Internal Security Ministry has contacted the Penang-based Guangming Daily over its publication of an alleged photo-within-photo in its night edition on Feb 3, which showed a reader with a Western newspaper that carried one of the offensive caricatures.
"I will leave it to the ministry to decide on the matter."
Malaysiakini Chinese Edition (Dang Jin Da Ma) has a story of PM confirmation.
Beh Li Yi of Malaysiakini reported that a delegation of top editors from Guangming Daily led by group editor-in-chief Siew Nyoke Chow and its sister publication Sin Chew Daily met with officials from the Internal Security Ministry.
Accordingly, the daily appears to be ’safe’ but Siew could not provide details of the meeting in Putrajaya.
More to be hanged?

This is stupid. There is malice and there is telling the news as it is. Guangming was only doing it’s duty in telling the news, i don;t see why they should be brought to task.
