Mahaleel hits out at Proton

On January 4, former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and ex-CEO of Proton Tengku Mahaleel Tengku Ariff has came out with a joint statement regarding the sales of M.V. Agusta at one Euro by Proton, demanding an explanation which was later denied by Proton.

Today, Mahaleel critisizes Proton for not replying to their queries and regretted Proton’s stand since the decision involves a matter of public interest and a transparency of falsehood contrary to the wishes of the Government.

He also insisted that Proton has sold one of its core assets rather than non-core assets and cited M.V Agusta was not wholly responsible for losses registered by the national carmaker.

Chain reactions will kick-off soon.
