English switch in public universities by 2007/2008: How realistic?

Higher Education Minister Shafie Salleh said all degree programmes based on science and mathematics in public institutions of higher learning (IPTAs) will be taught in English from next year.
It was "ridiculous" if students who were already studying the subjects in English in school had to revert to Bahasa Malaysia when they entered public universities.
