Dell president and CEO Kevin B Rollins commended the effort and support from the Malaysian government and its abudance of workforce in the country.
"We chose Penang for the past 11 years because of the support from the government which allowed us to be competitive and we will continue to collaborate with the leaders in Malaysia who are willing to discuss what should we do next." [...]
With emerging large economies like China and India, Malaysia and Penang should move forward and not to be afraid to "break glass".
I hope someone out there is able to read the message well.

The pecking order of laptops is like this:
Top – Japanese brands/IBM
Middle – Dell/HP
Bottom – OEMs from God knows where

Performance, Quality, Cheap
So we have the market leaders who offer Performance and Quality, but it’s not cheap.
The middle ground mass manufecturers offer quality at a lower cost because they have economy of scale.
Then you have rubbish laptops like FTEC, MIMOS etc who try and match market leader performance at a cheap price , but fail badly because their products are of poor quality.
All Malaysia needs to do is: Don’t sell Crap.
