Spot-check mobile phones for pornography?

Can I brand this as one new kind of modern-days privacy intrusion?
I’m concerning that if this ruling to go through, certain irresponsible enforcement officers will take this as an excuse to ‘ransack’ your mobile phone.
Don’t take my words for it, tell me what you think?

Sorry to say, but they have every right to do that because you’re living in Malaysia.
There is NO legal provision for privacy in Malysia. Dude, you’re not in the US of A.
And that is why, in Malaysia the police have the power to come and search your house, and you can’t use the excuse of “intruding your privacy”
and p/s: owning pornography even for private viewing only is NOT allowed under the Penal Code.
