Oil prices have hit record highs of more than US$ 70 a barrel as Hurricane Katrina forced oil firms to shut down operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Petrol price to follow suit soon.

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has hinted at a possible increment. Quote:

    Then a certain Prime Minister would have the honour (and hold the national record) for being the PM with the highest number of petrol hikes during his (short) tenure.

    Lets pray, hope the incident over and during these times, our beloved PM wont announce a price increase for petrol
